“It’s Not Your Grandfather’s ADA Code: 150 Years Old and Looking Forward”

The science and practice of dentistry has evolved and expanded over the past one hundred and fifty years. The ADA Code that enumerates a dentist’s professional obligations must keep pace and adapt to such import changes. This program will briefly review the evolution of our ADA Code, focusing on the code’s current edition. Since 1996, the ADA Code has contained five ethical principles. Course participants will consider and discuss the question: Is it now time for the addition of the sixth principle of dental ethics?
