“Full Arch Rehabilitation From a Surgical And Prosthetic Perspective with Immediate Load Protocol”

HANDS-ON – LIMITED ATTENDANCE

Full arch rehabilitation with dental implants in edentulous patients or with compromised remaining teeth is a highly predictable treatment. Three-dimensional position of the implants, as well as bone reduction, are crucial points for treatment success, therefore, tilted implants must be designed minimizing the extent of cantilever and avoiding the commitment of the maxillary sinus and inferior alveolar nerve. The hybrid prosthesis is the most common type of prostheses used in this kind of treatment and minimum space is required to allocate for the prosthetic abutment, the metallic framework and the teeth.

This training aims to demonstrate the need for bone reduction, proper implant placement, proper selection of straight and/or angled abutments, and the conversion of a denture over titanium copings.

Detailed description of the hands-on portion includes:

  • Evaluation of DVO
  • Bone reduction
  • Implant placement
  • Abutment placement
  • Check the abutment position regarding the denture occlusal area
  • Titanium coping placement
  • Prepare the denture for the conversion
  • Pick-up the titanium copings
  • Reline the denture and finishing
