“State-of-the Art Implant Esthetics”

Surgical and Restorative Protocols for Achieving Success and Managing Complications.

Single and multiple sites, conventional full arch and All-on-4® treatment concept restorations

Course Synopsis:

This course will provide a comprehensive overview of the knowledge base and interdisciplinary case

Management skills required to successfully achieve and maintain harmonious esthetic outcomes at single, multiple adjacent and full arch esthetic implant restorations. Emphasis will be placed on the pre-treatment patient evaluation focused on identifying the prognostic keys necessary for predictable esthetic implant treatment and the risk factors associated with esthetic complications and failures. Hard and soft tissue surgical esthetic implant site development procedures will be reviewed. The sequencing of surgical implant site development procedures prior to or simultaneous with esthetic implant placement and the importance of restorative management of esthetic peri-implant soft tissues will be illustrated by clinical case presentations. The Sclar Center Protocol for the All-on-4® treatment concept will be introduced as an advantageous solution providing unsurpassed esthetics and quality of life improvements for patients suffering from edentulism, terminal dentition dentition and failed conventional implant reconstructions. Finally, case presentations will be used to demonstrate the principles of managing esthetic implant complications.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the prognostic keys for predictable esthetic implant treatment.
  2. Identify risk factors for esthetic complications and failures.
  3. Distinguish between esthetic case scenarios that are amenable to simultaneous implant placement and grafting from those that require pre-implant site development procedures.
  4. Understand the importance of restorative management of peri-implant soft tissues.
  5. Understand the quality of life benefits that the All-on-4® treatment concept provides for edentulous patients and those suffering from terminal dentition and failed conventional implant restorations.
